Boitumelo Makhubele – Owner & Managing Director: Ziphora Events

​

Boitumelo is a young and passionate Events Co-ordinator. She started her event management career at the South African Black Entrepreneurs Forum(SABEF) where she was the Activities and Events Manager.

 During her time at SABEF, she successfully implemented the organization’s Kasi2Kasi SME Development Tour in 4 Gauteng townships, Umlazi in Durban and Khayelitsha in Cape Town.

 

She was the project manager for SABEF’s annual Women in Business Series in 14 cities around South Africa as well as the organization’s Nelson Mandela Day Entrepreneurship Lecture with international motivational speaker Les Brown as the keynote speaker.

 

In 2014, Boitumelo successfully hosted the Young Leaders in Dialogue panel discussion in partnership with Lebone Inspires. This event featured Claire Mawisa, Sade Savings, Mpho Matee and Sanele Zulu as panelists.

 

During 2014 & 2015 she worked at MVC Marketing as a Field Account Manager for the Telkom in-store brand on the Eastrand, Westrand & in Johannesburg South. 

Boitumelo is currently the Managing Director of Ziphora Events, a company that supports & inspires young entrepreneurs & professionals by hosting networking events discussing topical issues in the country.

 

In March 2016, Boitumelo hosted The Game Changers Dialogue featuring avid entrepreneurs Matsi Modise, York Zucchi, Dominique Collett, Sanele Zulu & Sibusiso “Skinny Sbu Socks” Ngwenya as panelists & Boitumelo as the host. Other speaking engagements include being a panelist at Unisa’s “Young Professionals Seminar”.

 

 On 31 July 2016, Ziphora Events hosted the Women in Lead High Tea in partnership with Divine Women Empowerment. The event sought to bring women together to discuss personal branding, emotional decluttering & beauty. Speakers at the high tea were Tsepiso Makhubedu, (Entrepreneur & Speaker, CEO: That Advertising Company), Sive Nkukwana, (CEO: Sive Hope Foundation, TV Producer) & Naledi Moleo, (Entrepreneur & Radio Show Host:SA FM)

 

Boitumelo is passionate about entrepreneurship development in South Africa and working with women & youth, helping them realize and maximize their full potential.
